Jacobite Update - first sight of greens

Full of excitement (sad) as Richard has sent me some pics of my first set of Highlanders, as stated before these are all in shirts and after much deliberation Richard has decided to make them open handed to make maximum use of the weapons he will be sculpting. It will also increase conversion opportunities.

Well I like them what do you think? after these are cast there will be another 6 in jackets foloowed by some bits and pieces. I haven't decided if I should make these commercially available, sell them through the blog or just be selfish (which I'm not)

Eager to get them cast and get some paint on them!

Nice minis! Mr. Ansell makes beautiful sculpts, that's for sure. If I can say so, pelase sell 'em through the blog, just as the Fife and Drum or Minden Miniatures. It will help you to recover your investment and you will make a lot of people happy. I guess I'd be one of them...

Excellent! (are there going to be any pipers?)

Elegant work, indeed! Mr. Ansell is a genius of a sculptor. Those fellows look just like the men of my FIW 78th (Frazer's) Highlanders reenactment group.

Gents thanks for the comments, I think it's inevitable I will make the figures available for sale through the blog for both the reasons Salavdor mentioned.
As to pipers? How could I have a Highland army without them, the plan is once these 6 are cast Richard will resculpt them to have jackets. Following that I will be looking at the command and after that I would like to do some Personalties and a few horse but I cant get ahead of myself can I?
Cheers

Woody has really captured the dynamic feel that I think of for Highlanders...

Graham, no wonder you are pleased. They look terrific and yes the old dog has captured the look of clansmen perfectly. He's not shabby with the greenstuff is he? Nice starty to your collection mate and yes, sell them through the blog and help fund the rest . . . . mind you, I started like that and look where it took me :-)))
